Regarding to yr. questions, it really depends on the "ethics" of your boss. My current boss is foreigner, but he never let us reject HBV people. Because he knows this is a discrimination. The ans. I suggest as below:
1. And this is not the only way to protect the staff since so many people have this in China. Even you don't hire him/her, you still can't not prevent your staff from infecting. And the better way to hlep staff being infected is to give them more info. on health to protect themselves, no matter they are in the plant or at other places.
2. you need to talk with the candidate if you really hire him/her and ask her/him to take care of himself/herself. Don't let him do the OT. He/she needs to be efficient and effective on his/her work.
3. Regarding to the potential medical expenses, I would suggest you check with the site labor bureau.
Hope this will help you and thanks for yr. consideration on providing the opportunity to all of the people.

Wish-Vie, Thanks your reply. However, do you think that the ethic of boss will save HBVers? If every thing is "depends...". How can we really to save most of HBVer?
You are right to define "discrimination". I fully agree that's one kind of discrimination, so I am write a case about it.
