Hygiene hints to protect yourself against infectious disease
Wash your hands with soap and water frequently and thoroughly. If disinfection is available promptly disinfect your hands after shaking hands.
Where practical, avoid too-close contact with people - keep a distance from other people (at least 1m distance while talking).
Reduce avoidable direct contact such as shaking hands.
Cover your mouth and nose with disposable tissues when coughing and sneezing, and dispose of the used tissues properly.
If you feel sick with flu-like symptoms (e.g. coughing, breathlessness, sweating, headache and aching limbs), take your temperature.
If you have a temperature, contact your doctor or health provider. Take care to cover your nose and mouth during travel to the doctor.
If you are coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth with single use face masks to reduce airborne infection. |
