I have had all the tests including a liver biopsy in November and nobody ever told me what genotype I am. I have mild inflammation consistent with chronic active hepatitis b, stage 1. No symptoms and am e antigen negative and e antibody positive but have positive viral load that is 659. Precore mutant, I guess. There were no tests on me to tell me if I am precore mutant but I guess you are diagnosed by your e antigen and antibody status and the presence of a viral load.
