It is my pleasure to visit ITT and complete the interview perfectly. As I have dived myself into quality management and continuous improvement in operation, my attitude to work is proactive, I can always get the offer after the interview. Many thanks to you all.
To be honest, I always tell my boss about my body check result. Obslutely I am in good health. But there is a positive (+) relsult in blood check. I am a hepetitis B virus (HBV) carrier.
When I frankly told the HR stuff of ITT about this information today, I was told that there may be no chance for the HBV carrier, ITT will not employ HBV carriers. So I may not go to ITT for the medical examination next week.
As HBV is only transformed by blood. There is no chance for people to get influence in daily communication, such as eating, meeting, breething and shaking hands. The only reason for Chinese to be afraid of HBV is that most people do not know the way of HBV transforamtion.
I always told my potential boss about my body situation before enter the new company and share the knowledge about HBV. If they have the basical information about HBV, they will accept me without hesitaion. As there is no discrimination against HBV in USA, Europe, Singapore, Australia and Korea. Even some of these countries have special law or act to protect HBV carriers.
The exclusion and discrimination to infectious disease carriers including HIV and HBV is the global social problem we should face. In China the settlement of HBV discrimination problem is more significant even beyond HIV discrimination because of the huge group of 120 million HBV carriers. Nowadays, Chinese HBV carriers are initiating anti-discrimination campaign such as science education etc. to eliminate the unfair treatment and try for equal work right, education right and privacy citizen right. The campaign have been supported by the government, mass media and many people. It embodies the advancement of Chinese society.
In China, some most respected company have already end the discrimination policy against HBV carriers. These may include Nokia, BMS. TCL is also modifying its policy.
I hope faithfully that your company, which has good reputation do not be stand beside
the discrimination and the allay of obscuration. I also hope that ITT according to equilty and science spirit investigate the fact and correct the mistake to cancel rejecting HBV carriers. And at last wish ITT become stronger and stronger!
