What is language for?some people seem to think it's for practicing grammar rules and learning lists of words---the longer the words the better.that's wrong, and this concept need to be overthrown significantly in the english language education and examing systems in China. Language is for the exchange of ideas,for communication, instead.
The way to master a language is to speak as more as possible, in the right way. You can speak to yourself if you can not find a partner, but it's better to have a partner. Another good way is to follow the native English speakers, that's vital to form a pure English style pronunciation and accent. For me, I never speak the way following my Chinese English teacher, instead i am fond of imitating the way of speaking in western films, broadcastings, news, songs,ie. Also, I like to learn more about the culture behind the language by accessing into western cultures, when you understand the cultural background,you can better use the language
More over, be awared that learning any language takes a lot of effort, just like that Rome was not set up in one day, it's hard but enjoyful, never give up and you will see how it will change. |
