有谁先睹为快,电影或者小说?
本来对同性恋没好感的,但据说这是个爱情电影,与性别无关, 而且眼泪可以大把大把地抛洒。是不是值得热情一回?
Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx Gayety → Reviews → Literature → Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx
Tears well till I can no longer make out the words; the body's defence mechanism against a cruel onslaught. Despite the classification, this is not a review, just a few notes to give me closure. After 3 readings, each provoking a soaked pillow, I need closure.
Colloquial bordering on illiterate, it was at first as difficult to take seriously as one-handed fiction found in the back section of the same bookstore I found this gem. Despite the incredulity of the initial love affair up on Brokeback Mountain, perhaps because of the language, perhaps the circumstances, the agonising consequences require no suspension of disbelief.
Jack loves Ennis, and wants to settle down with him on a ranch of their own. But Ennis is carrying a great fear (gays, wyoming, you can guess the rest), a fear that comes to pass despite their sacrificing everything, or at least everything that really mattered. So there was no happy ending. Only memories of what was, and what could have been.
