Project design: I designed an adequate amount of activities (cover four weeks of teaching ) to test the hypothesis. In my project, I decide to improve my enhancing students’ interest in five steps: prompting-inspiration-enlightening- exploration-communications I have designed four activities to be try out in four weeks. l Week 1 Activity 1 Approach: Novel direction interest method Objectives: Learn to use possessive pronoun of noun Instructions: Students listen to the teacher’s explanations carefully and though asking ,replying, singing and so on, grasps the use of pronoun correctly. Procedure: The teacher explains the use of pronoun, then carries on about pronoun dialogue by ask-reply way. Finally, make the dialogue a song, with music sing the song.(to see the appendix B) l Week 2 Activity 2 Approach: inspiration Objectives: excite interests of the student, the scene stirs up their feelings and appeal to their minds. Learn the sentence “Is watching TV too much bad or good for your health?” Instructions: In the education, make full use of electronical and intuitionistictools , change the characters in wearing different masks, students can see the characters ,touch them, contact them, they will use their sense organs completely. In this way, to inspire origination abilities. Procedure: First,teacher play a actress,ask a question with the sentence pattern .second,students answer the question in groups.Third,make a dialogue.(to see the appendixB) l Week 3 Activity 3 Approach: enlightening Objective: Though the enlightening of the teachers, students learn rules o languages. The use of “need ”and “had better”. Instructions: Under the enlightening of the teacher, students learn the rules, from sense comprehension to geist comprehension, communicate more agilely and make progress under the rules. Procedure:collect materials-after models-break the rules-practice- conclude systematacially (to see the appendix B) l Week 4 Activity 4 Approach: communication Objective: develop abilities and language communication skills in listening, speaking, reading and wrting Instructions:Though playing PowerPoint ,carry on performs and dialogs, students can communicate in authentic scene Procedure:Make up groups---give a topic of play---students prepare the play---play the acting---evaluations.(to see the appendix C) |
