Entecavir (ETV) Demonstrates Consistent Responses Throughout Baseline Demographic Subgroups for the Treatment of Nucleoside-na飗e, HBeAg(+) and HBeAg(-) Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B?br>

Across demographic factors, the response to ETV was consistent and favored ETV over lamivudine (LVD) for histologic improvement and patients achieving <400 copies/mL HBVDNA.?Subset analyses supported the principal analysis for superiority of ETV over LVD for both endpoints. For key efficacy endpoints of histologic improvement and viral load reduction, ETV was consistently comparable or superior to LVD across demographic subgroups. Baseline demographic factors did not influence the performance of ETV in these two large nucleoside-na飗e populations
