Researchers from Sweden showed that by drinking coffee it decrease the risk of acquiring the diabetes, lower the risk of stroke and liver cancer. It is by consuming more than one cup of coffee every day. It helps in bringing down the inflammation and improves the insulin sensitivity that can combat against diabetes. High concentration of antioxidants in the coffee is said to be the reason for the productive benefit of the coffee. Drinking of coffee can also reduce the risk of stroke. According to Dr. Sussana Larsson the lead researcher,

The findings are based on the 10-year health records of 35,000 women who were 49-83 years of age and the study is also publish in the “Stroke Journal”
Dr. Frank Hu, a professor of nutrition and epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health states that it is now the time to push the coffee aside from green tea. He believes that coffee is much healthier than green tea for he identified the connection between the consumption of coffee to lower diabetes risk.
Coffee plays a great role now, not only in diabetes but also in other diseases. In the area of on how much will coffee be drink; Hu said that there is still not enough data to make recommendations. He added that coffee is healthful but some considerations should be known in drinking coffee. The study was conducted on women but Deborah Kotz said that it can also be applied to men. |
