If you check, communicable disease is still ground for rejection by US immigration. US has the most strict law in term of discrimination. I doubt that chinese labor law is at the same level. Based on the communications I had with forum member, there are still gender and age discrimination. HIV is still an unspoken disease in China, I doubt the chinese labor law will go out their way to allow HIV carriers into the work force.
In US, some workers sue for millions when got hurted on the job. imaging what they will sue if they catch a communicable disease from their co-worker. HSE is serious businese in US. ConocoPhillips has "Journey to Zero" program. The goal is to reduce injure, illness, incident to zero at work and at home.

I believe other companies have similar program too. Hence, I sincerely doubt that the us company will mix a known communicable disease carrier with other workers.
