Residents of Asia topped the list, with 26,788,000 ethnic Chinese living in countries other than Mainland China and Taiwan. Europe was third in terms of total population of overseas Chinese, with 968,000 residents. Today Oversea Chinese have thrived at commerce, live away from a motherland to which they still nurture strong cultural links, and contribute a great deal to rebuild their homeland.

Singapore is a nice and clean country to live or raise a family if you do not care to breathe under the tremendous surveillance and irrational ordinances. The fact of matter is that some countries in Europe are pretty nice places to live in every aspects, such as health insurance, retirement, standard of living, emancipation and so on. Of course, most of them do speak and write English other than American.
