Study: Bristol-Myers' Hepatitis C Drug Cures 83 Percent of Patients
                                Bristol-Myers Squibb Company today said that its hepatitis C drug BMS-790052 worked in combination with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin to cure 83 percent of patients. The trial tested three doses of BMS-790052 with the standard treatment, peginterferon alfa and ribavirin. The pills with the two highest doses cured 83 percent of patients 24 weeks after the treatment was completed, compared to 25 percent for patients who received the current treatment and a placebo.
