why can't you write? If it's just a problem of input method, maybe you can try the web-based input method, eg.

Well, it is a long story. I went overseas when I was 13. So you get a bit rusty after 47 years. Besides, I learned the traditional Chinese and I am still not up to speed with the simplified version. Even if I do remember how to write a certain character, I still have to learn the computer data entry system. That is harder still. I have not looked at the pinyin system, but I imagine with my Cantonese, it is not going to help .
