Solvay's Immogenetics says hepatitis C vaccine causes strong immune response



BRUSSELS (AFX) - Solvay SA affiliate Innogenetics said chronic hepatitis C patients treated with its E1 vaccine showed a "strong immune response" one month after the booster dose.



Preliminary results of Innogenetics' ongoing phase IIa trial of its E1 therapeutic vaccine in hepatitis C patients indicated that the vaccine is generally well tolerated and able to induce a strong cellular immune response in chronically infected hepatitis C patients, it said.
