Consensus Conference on Hepatitis B Set for Geneva in September 2002 It has been learned that an international consensus conference on hepatitis B will take place in Geneva, Switzerland September 13-15, 2002. The conference is sponsored by the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL). That group's annual meeting took place in Madrid Spain, April 18-21, 2002. The September cocsensus conference is being organized by Patrick Marcellin, Alfredo Alberti, Geoffrey Dusheiko, Stephano Hadziyannis, Mario Rizetto, Didier Samuel, and Daniel Shouval. A jury will be provided with evidence-based data to produce a Consensus Document to answer specific and relevant questions about diagnosis and management of this disease.
