XX,

Happy Christmas and New Year holiday!

I have signed the offer letter with Ms. XXX and gotten ready to start
at XXXXX in this month. Ms. XXX gave me all the helpful files to guide
me on the steps of my entering.

At present, I have a problem needing your help to confirm. I am a
Hepatitis B virus (HBV)carrier with good biochemical indexes of
liver function. An HBV carrier is badly mistaken as an infectious
person who has hepatitis A by some people in China, although hepatitis
B is totally different with hepatitis A in spread ways. From the materials
as follows, you can easily see that 'HBV cannot be spread casually in the
workplace'. The most important thing is that Hepatitis B vaccine is available
for all age groups to prevent hepatitis B virus infection since 1980s. In fact, most of carriers of HBV are completely healthful and long-lived as common
people and only those whose biochemical indexes of liver function are out of
the normal ranges (inflammation of the liver) can be defined as a Hepatitis
B person.

China government is consistently opposite to the discrimination on HBV carriers for a very long time. On Jan 1st, 2008, two new laws(Employment Promotion Law
and Employment Contract Law)were enforced to forbid discriminations on an HBV
carrier and even a stopping blood test on HBV rule is included in a regulations (Employment Service and Employment Management Regulations) from Ministry of
Labor and Social Security of China. After the implementations of these laws and regulations, employers cannot refuse to hire an employee by the cause of HBV
carrier now.

I honestly let my two previous companies know my information and they didn't
have discriminations on me. In China, a lot of international and domestic
companies (such as IBM, Intel, BMWHZ, Maersk and Danfoss etc.) have never a
discriminating attitude to an HBV carrier. I am sure that as a very famous
science and technology company, XXXXX also has no discriminations on this.
I have done the medical examination in the medical institution last Saturday. I think the result will be delivered to XXXXX this week. Maybe I am the first one the HR colleagues of XXXXX China have ever come into contact with. Therefore,
would you please help me to confirm the policy on an HBV carrier in XXXXX China? If some HR colleagues have a mistaken opinion about the spread ways of HBV and reject me, I am very deeply grateful to you if you can help me to explain and justify them the HBV spread ways.

I am very interested in the position you offered me and very appreciated with
your kind considerations on my request. I am confident that with my passion, my enthusiasm on energy field and my related background, I can do the job well.
I treasure this opportunity very much, that is why I wrote this e-mail to
you for your help.

If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks,
XXXXXXX

1. WHO:
Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver, most commonly caused by a viral infection. There are five main hepatitis viruses, referred to as types A, B, C, D and E.
Hepatitis A and E are typically caused by ingestion of contaminated food or water. Hepatitis B, C and D usually occur as a result of parenteral contact with infected body fluids (e.g. from blood transfusions or invasive medical procedures using contaminated equipment). Hepatitis B is also transmitted by sexual contact.

"       Child-to-child transmission
"       Unsafe injections and transfusions
"       Sexual contact
Hepatitis B virus is not spread by contaminated food or water, and cannot be spread casually in the workplace.
