Citibank Shanghai...hum...I think, if you are managed by Chinese Management (I forgot the name, something CISCO?), you will be. Otherwise, it all depends on individual firm’s policy.

Thank you very much for your reply. But i don't really get your point. So let me explain something to you, maybe you know it. This company used to belong to Citibank, but it has been bought by the biggest American Insurance company(I don't remember its name), however the new parent company kept its previous name for its good reputation. So does anybody know about this company? I would be extremely grateful for anybody's help! I am waiting for angel...

It means the Chinese Management Firm hired by Citbank will do health exams (if they hired one, and normally foreign companies in China do this ).

The Citibank’s parent’s company is Citigroup. The link tells you a brief history of Citigroup…however, it ties up with AIG insurance company. In the United States AIG companies are the largest underwriters of commercial and industrial insurance and AIG American General is a top-ranked life insurer. AIG's global businesses also include financial services, retirement savings and asset management. AIG's financial services businesses include aircraft leasing, financial products, trading and market making. AIG's growing global consumer finance business is led in the United States by American General Finance. AIG also has one of the largest U.S. retirement savings businesses through AIG SunAmerica and AIG VALIC, and is a leader in asset management for the individual and institutional markets, with specialized investment management capabilities in equities, fixed income, alternative investments and real estate. AIG's common stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, as well as the stock exchanges in London, Paris, Switzerland and Tokyo.

i think in Citigroup's company culture, no discrimination against HBV carrier.

but the point is that when it comes to China, it will be definitely localized.

probably you will sign the contract with a local labor source angent and further assigned to the company, thus, health check is compulsory, unless you sign the contract directly with the company and the HR has a fair concept...
