Why do so many of you like "Shawshank Redemption"?

I saw it while ago on cable television and it was a great movie. However, for hepatitis B carriers, one should see another great escape move “Papillon” in which Steve McQueen teamed up with Dustin Hoffman to escape from prison on Devil’s Island. The movie was made in 1973 but it is still the most watch-able. It shows the great courage ever. I like all Steve McQueen’s movies. The pity thing, however, was he died young.

yeah, my friend has borrowed ' Papillon' DVD and commended it as another 'Shawshank redemption' after watching. But I missed it.

Or Client Eastwood’s "Great Escape", and it is pretty much the double sense of the "Shawshank Redemption". Just the break outs were San Francisco bay’s Alcatraz penitentiary.(where they filmed movie "Rock")
