i think this proverb's meaning is not gao chu bu sheng han. maybe it means sb who is on a too high position is not always right ?

He sits no sure that sits too high.

once upon a time, there was a man, he was not tall, so he always admire or envy (whatever) tall persons and dreamed someday he could get tall.

one day, he bought a ladder. sitting on the first stage of the ladder, he felt good and asked his wife:"dear, do i look taller? great?" his wife was busy in washing clothes. she gave him a quick look and answered: "yeah,dear, u look so cool!" this word brought this man big joy.he climbed upwards a further step, got a sit and asked his wife:" this time do i look greater?". his wife took a rush blink and answered again:" yeah. dear, so tall."

This guy was so happy that he climbed more staris upward again and again, kept asking his wife:' do i look tall now?am i great?" finally he even fogot to ( or didn't wanna care) his wife's reply any longer. he got a so high position and felt so good.

---peng! he falt down from the top of the ladder, just before that his wife warned him severl times pity he didn't hear it:" u've got a so dangerous position!"

this man died. till now, we often can see his wife wandering in the street and mururing:" He sits no sure that sits too high".......

the 7th scene of play "love me love my dog"

time:
weekend morning

place:
a couple's house

persona:
Rose ( a young and beautiful lady)
Jack ( a young promissing guy, Rose's boy friend)

(the clock bell ringing~~~~~
Jack is waken by the ring, he gets sudden fresh with the look on the clcok time.He shakes Rose before catching a clothes to put it on.)

Jack(J): Hey, darling, hurry, we will be late for appointment.

Rose(R): well, well, godness, why we never can enjoy a enough sleep, even in weekend.

J: that's life, we have to.

(Jack has jumped from the bed and goes up to the closet)

J: gosh! this damn dog! Rose~~~I have told u thousnds of times. get "love" ("love" is pet dog of rose---editor xiaolei marks,hoho) away of our house~it is reaaly offensive.

R: what's wrong?

(Rose runs up and breaks out a laughter. There's some shit on Jack's bare foot.)

R: hehe, u forgot to open the closet door last night, poor "love".

J: u r even laughing?! I told u before, I do dislike dogs!

(“love” comes over from somewhere and sits by the Rose foot with innocent eyes, it is frightened by Jack’s roar. Rose perches down and pat “love”)

R: oh, love, my dog. It’s ok, not ur fault.

(Rose turns to Jack)

R: hey, Jack, yep, u said u dislike dogs. But it’s my buddy, and u did say u will accept “love” because u love me.

J: (seems going to be crazy) yep? that’s my words? that was from my mouth? Then I must be abnormal at that time. (Jack walks around) u r u, ‘love” is “love”. Yeah, I love u, but it doesn’t mean I have to, I must love this dog.. you r 2 separate matter, never mix up, never! What a messing….

R: dog is my friend, it becomes one part of me. Since u love me, u certainly should accept and love my whole! U dislike “love”, it just proves one thing: u don’t love me enough! Love me, love my dog!

(Jack sits down, with fingers through his hair. Rose is patting “love”, comforts it. “love” turns its head to Rose, shaking its tail, then turns to Jack, it doesn’t know all happens for itself.)

two heads are better than one:

this proverb  reminds  me a story about a couple( couple again?em, this is a tragedy).

there are 2 young people who know each other at the university. Young guy (Li chun jiang) is from a poor county. the girl(Xiao fang)has a good family background. these 2 young falls in love with each other though they have quite different background as it is said:"men bu dang, hu bu dui"

after graduation, xiao fang abandons the good job in city and comes to the county with Li chun jiang. they think nothing can obstruct their love only if they can be with each other.

time goes by quickly. they live poorly but never complain about it.they both believe love is much more important than meat,comfortable bed,dvd,etc..

one day, xiaofang goes outside for field work and chunjiang stays home. the neighbour takes a salt duck head and says it can be one dish for their meal.chunjiang feels very happy and put the head in the bowl, waiting for xiaofang's coming back.

the head smells so dicilous, and they doesn't eat meat for a long time. chunjiang swallows his saliva and feels pity it is not tow heads.he waits and waits, xiaofang still doesn't come back. he can't help taking the duck heads and begining to eat.

just at this moment, xiaofang gets back and see this scene. she burns out a big cry and says:" I bears a lot for u but u even can't bear a duck head!"

.....

this couple gets apart just for one head. some people think they won't be so if there r 2 heads. after all, they have experienced too much.two heads are better than one.
