三国城坐落在葱茏苍翠的军嶂山麓、风景秀丽的太湖之滨，是中央电视台为拍摄八十四集电视连续剧《三国演义》而兴建的大型影视文化景区，“刘备招亲”、“火烧赤壁”、“横槊赋诗”、“草船借箭”、“借东风”、“诸葛吊孝”、“舌战群儒”等十多集的重场戏均在此拍摄。它占地35公顷，是中视股份继唐城景区之后推出的又一座集影视拍摄、旅游功能于一体的影视城。
根据剧情的需要，三国景点内建造了具有影视文化特色和具有浓郁汉代风格的“吴王宫”、“甘露寺”、“曹营水旱寨”、“吴营”、“七星坛”、“跑马场”、“点将台”等几十处大型景点，建筑面积达8.5万平方米。后因发展需要，又陆续添置了“桃园”、“九宫八卦阵”、“火烧赤壁特技场”、“竟技场”、“赤壁古栈道”等景点，丰富、充实了景区文化内容，弘扬了民族文化。它占地35公顷，是中视股份继唐城景区之后推出的又一座集影视拍摄、旅游功能于一体的影视城。
