this statement is not correct. If he does not need treatment (小三阳, alt<2*uln) then he should be living like normal person. If he has continuous alt>2*uln, then he need treatment. Economicallly, if he has medical insurance, then the cost of entecavir per month is ~1000 Yuan*35%=350 Yuan (I got that percentage from this forum, I am in US, I am also a HBVer). If he does choose to take medicine, up to date there is very small chance that he could stop taking medication. And his chance to get 肝癌 is a little higher than you, not 几百倍. There are hopes that chronic HBV could be cured. One drug is replicor (Canada), another one is Myrcludex-B(Germany), they all have the chance to be on the market in 5 years. Since your husband is a HBVer, he does need a lot of your supports.
Thank you very much for your words, actually your comments relieve my anxiety a lot, to be honest, i will not leave my husband, i only angry that he cheat our marriage, he should tell me the trueth, and he should not leave me alone on quarel, and he should apologize to me for his fault....i deserve that, i am his wife and i am loving him with all my heart and soul....
i am so glad to see the hope, is that real? the two kinds of medicine will be on market in 5 years? really? i am so glad to see the hope,
how old are you ? are you working in the agency that related to this disease? can you return my message back? 作者: MiddleAgeMan 时间: 2011-11-10 02:54

My answer for the 1st paragraph of your post, I am happy that you calm down. In my opinion, in today's crazy world, family is the only place you could expect supports.
About the two new drugs, you may look them on google. What I know of is the following:
There are hopeful to eradicate cccdna, which is the cause of the HBV. Up to date, the only drug could do this is interferon. However the successful rate of interferon is very low, around 8%. The above mentioned two drugs have successful rate replicor (almost 100%, on a small humane sample) and Myrcludex-B (almost 100% on mice). replicor is in phase II and Myrcludex-B is in phase I (Myrcludex-B phase II is scheduled in summer 2012).
I am almost 40 years old. I am working in a US pharmaceutical company. I found out that I am a HBVer(hbsag +, hbsab -, hbeag -, hbvdna 10^7) this summer. I started taking tenofovir on 19Sep2011. By taking tenofovir for 40 days, my alt and ast drop from 186, 163 (before taking tenofovir) to 74, 67 (after taking tenofovir 40 days)
In my opinion, HBV is a serious illness. However, if one manages it well, he should live a normal life and has the normal life expectancy as everyone else.
