上饶市公安局三清山分局某公安服务信息点的警示牌上，采用了中英韩三种语言注释，但却将中文“有困难，找警察”的英文翻译成了“Difficult to find the police”(直译为“找警察很难”)，一时间引来大批网友围观、调侃。

　　中新网南昌8月10日电 (刘占昆)“有困难，找警察”这句中文口号，在江西三清山风景区里的一块110警示牌上，被标注为英文“找警察很难”的涵义，这一雷人翻译引起了众多网友的围观调侃。

　　近日，有网友通过微博、贴吧等方式上传一张图片，图片显示，上饶市公安局三清山分局某公安服务信息点的警示牌上，采用了中英韩三种语言注释，但却将中文“有困难，找警察”的英文翻译成了“Difficult to find the police”(直译为“找警察很难”)，一时间引来大批网友围观、调侃。

　　不少网友连连惊呼“亮了”(亮了为网络词汇，表示被描述的对象受到了关注)。一位名为“点点伤 ”网友调侃道，“很明显的中国式英语，让外国人看真的是很难找到警察”。

　　而在国内一家热门微博网站上，此类相关微博已有数千条转发和留言评论。不少网友在调侃的同时，质疑是不是有关工作部门偷懒，直接用翻译软件翻译，并且都没有检查。

　　10日下午，中新网记者致电上饶市公安局三清山分局，接电话的工作人员确认了这一问题警示牌的存在，他表示，三清山分局已经在两三天前就将这个有问题的警示牌撤换了。

　　而对于出现翻译错误的原因，该名工作人员解释说，主要是警示牌交给生产厂家方面，由于工作人员不太懂英语，直接翻译出来的，“等印制好了，这边也没注意到，导致用了这个错误的警示牌。”(完)

色狼招妓找警察 TAMPA — Florida police say a man arrested for repeatedly calling 911 looking for sex claimed it was the only number he could dial after running out of cell phone minutes. Tampa police said 29-year-old Joshua Basso made sexual comments to the 911 dispatcher and asked if he could come to her house. Investigators say she hung up, but he called back four more times.

He was arrested about 15 minutes later at his home late Wednesday and charged with making a false 911 call. Basso reportedly told officers that he didn't think he would get in trouble for calling 911.

Don't blame the translation - in Chinese, without the space,有困难找警察, means exactly 找警察有困难.
Also the translator may be being subtle in playing a joke on the police. This reminds me of the sign that read:" No smoking or eating " displayed at a University lecture room. Does it mean, you either eat or you don't smoke?
